Wills

What is a Will and Why Do I Need One?

A Will is a legal document that allows a person to determine what happens to their assets when they pass away. A Will can also determine who will care for your minor child(ren) when you pass away.

If you die without a Will, this is known as “intestate.” When this happens, a court will distribute your property and determine the care of your children according to state intestacy laws. For many people, this distribution is different from what they would have chosen, had they made a Will.

No two wills are the same, because no two individuals or families are the same. However, it is important to hire an attorney that you trust to ensure that your Estate Planning documents are done correctly and with your personal needs in mind.
